About Us

Odenheimer Co. | Well Drilling & Services in the Lehigh Valley PA

Odenheimer Co. (aka R.H. Odenheimer Company, Inc.) began in the water well drilling industry in 1939 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Founded by Roy H. Odenheimer, the business was family-run until 1976 when the company was bought and operated by Dr. Frank and Jean Yourga until 1988.

Kim and Jon Snelling, Lehigh Valley natives, purchased the company in February of 1989 and were able to expand the business, moving it to its larger current location in Orefield, PA. Kim, a graduate of the Penn Law School, and Jon, a graduate of Philadelphia College of the Arts and former manager of Trexler Orchards, a 1200-acre agribusiness, expanded the company to include geothermal drilling and water treatment. Beginning in 2005, their oldest son, Hunter, began working hands-on and has become an integral part of the growing business.

In 2023 Hunter Snelling, a Lehigh University graduate and Lehigh Valley local, along with his wife Carissa Snelling, a Misericordia University graduate, purchased the business to continue the family legacy of providing quality well drilling and water treatment services in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. The family is dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience. Having grown up in the business, Hunter is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the well drilling and water systems field.
